Last season, running back Frank Gore added to the giddiness that pervaded the team. After racing to a team record 1,675 yards rushing, Gore predicted he'd top 2,000 yards. Coach Mike Nolan tempered Gore's goal by saying he might not get enough carries. In fact, the days of 2,000-yard rushing seasons might be over with coaches finally convinced that they can't overload their running backs.

Frank Gore will be the key to the offense.

While Gore was poised for 2,000 he wound up with 1,102. Many factors contributed to this: He sprained his ankle early on, he lost his mother during the season and then good friend Sean Taylor, and the offensive line didn't block as well. But, there's another factor, no one talks about and that will be key for the upcoming season - the score.

Your draft didn't go exactly as planned, and while you got solid value on Houshmandzadeh and MJD, you don't get that warm & fuzzy feeling when you look at your roster. All potential studs, but no guarantees.

Presumably due to the moderately high scoring for QBs (.1/20 and 6 pt PaTD) the following QBs have been taken already: Brady, PManning, Romo, Brees, and Roethlisburger just went, though many have Palmer ranked 1 spot higher.

None of the backs here excite you much and you feel that one of JJones, Rudi Johnson, Darren McFadden, Thomas Jones, Fred Taylor or Matt Forte will be there for you on the way back. So you've narrowed it down to the top TE left on your board (only Gates & Winslow gone), Palmer or Williams.

What do you do - do you grab a "stud" QB who was a bust last year in the hopes he bounces back? Do you grab a big target WR to pair up with Howzamazillie? Or do you grab up the best TE available knowing there's little chance he makes it back to you at 5.04?

It's up to you...it's your team...you're On the Clock! icon_pointstosky.gif

Ok folks - you've had a pretty strong draft so far - 2 solid RBs and 2 solid WRs in a PPR league. Due to the early run on QBs some nice value fell to you in Colston and Lewis and Jennings was the last of a tier at 4.10 with great upside.

Now we're in the 5th. The top 6 QBs are all off the board already, and there's just none here who excite you, with little difference between the next 5-6 QBs on the board.

The most interesting names on the board are Kellen Winslow (soldjah!), Santonio Holmes and Darren McFadden. Do you take a top tier TE even though you have the RB from the same team? Do you flesh out your starting WR corps with the young and exciting Santonio Holmes? Or do you take a shot at the #1 overall pick, Run DMC in case he's the next Adrian Peterson in silver and black to fill in your flex position?

It's up to you - it's a 3 position frenzy - you're On the Clock! icon_pointstosky.gif
