Wish I could find a link to post about this but there's alot of chatter about it. Apparently Leslie Frazier wasn't to concerned yesterday but after their meeting today he is. They haven't said what the issues are but it doesn't sound money related.

Likely because he wants a bigger payday:
But Vikings nervous to pay
Wants trade

Percy Harvin has requested a trade from the Vikings, sources tell the Associated Press.
Harvin is scheduled to earn just $2.47 million in base salary over the next two seasons. He's also clashed with the coaches over playing time as he saw just 58 percent of the offensive snaps in 2011. Still, the Vikings are highly unlikely to grant a trade request even if Harvin follows through on his holdout threats. They'd never get equal value for one of the game's most versatile and explosive players. Suspended Jerome Simpson, Michael Jenkins and Devin Aromashodu are behind Harvin on the depth chart.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press believes one of the "situations" Percy Harvin is upset with is his contract.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport heard otherwise, but the Press says the "speculation" is Harvin wants an extension. Harvin is slated to make just $2.47 million over the final two years of his rookie deal. Whatever the issues are, coach Leslie Frazier says he's "not alarmed at all," and that it's "not something that can't be handled." We might not know for sure until the Vikings report to camp.

But Vikings nervous to pay
Quote
The Vikings are wary of paying Percy Harvin because they don't think he can stay healthy, according to beat writer Tom Pelissero.
Even though Harvin has missed just three games in his three NFL seasons, the Vikings have handled him with kid gloves. He played on just 58 percent of the offensive snaps last season, something that clearly didn't sit well with a guy that wants to prove he's durable. Although a trade is highly unlikely thanks to Harvin's age and unique ability, he could gain leverage by staging a serious holdout from training camp.

He won't get paid anywhere else either... His best option is to play out his contract - prove his worth, then expect a huge payday. If we wants a new contract now, that tells me he's worried about his health too and wants to cash in now.

PFT is commenting this may be a common tactic with new rookie deals, since they can't get out of low-paying deals for quite some time.

The contract is an obvious sticking point. With the new labor deal taking the windfalls away from first-round draft picks, young players who have outperformed their rookie contracts will want to be rewarded before playing out their rookie contracts and laboring for a season or two under the franchise tag. For Harvin, the 22nd pick in 2009, he definitely has overshot his slot. So it makes sense that he’d want more money.

They should sign 2 year deals then...

if he thinks he's durable and is willing to prove it... ask to sign a deal that pays him the same base as now but has better incentives for league leading type performance. If he's hurt he does't get the incentives because he won't reach the levels needed...
just a thought.
just a thought.
